1. How can I book a car?
Auto Tex offers three forms of booking. Through our website, by phone (for numbers see the footer) or by email: autotex@autotex.com.pl

2. By booking a car, can I be sure that it will wait for me?
Yes. If you book a car by phone, via e-mail or through our website form and our employee will confirm that the car is available (we always send an e-mail with confirmation of the reservation), we guarantee that you will receive a car.

3. What if the car I booked will not come back by the time my reservaion starts??

Auto Tex guarantees that you will get another car of the same class or higher at the same price as your booking.

4. Where can I pick up the car?

Collecting cars takes place in Gdansk Hallera St., 128. It is possible to pick up the car anywhere in the Tri-City for an additional payment (ask our employee for price)

5. How much time in advance should I should make my booking?

The car can be booked even a minute before collection (personally or by phone). However, If you want to be sure to get the car you chose, make a reservation in advance. E-mail us 24H before planned colleciton.

6. Do prices include VAT?

As our offer is directed chiefly to companies – all prices given are net prices, bt you can also rent a car as a private person.

7. How old do I have to be to rent a car in Auto Tex?

Any person willing to rent a car must be at least 21 years old on the day of renting. For some cars it is required to be at least 26 years of age. Please contact our office in this matter.

8. Do I have to pay deposit and what is it for?

If you want to rent a car it is neccesary to pay deposit, depending on the vehicle, from PLN 500 up to PLN 2,000 The settled amount can be paid in cash or by bank transfer. The deposit is a security that the customer returns the car refueled, in good condition and at the appointed time.

9. Is there any fee for a second driver?

We do not charge for an additional driver.

10. For how long can I rent a car?
Auto Tex offers rental for up to an hour (delivery vans) and rental for several months. Contact us mentioning the period of rental that interests you and we will prepare an individual offer for you.

11. Is it possible to rent a child seat?
Yes. We offer a large range of child seats. All you need to do is to give us information about your child’s weight and age and we will match the best car seat for your child.

12. Can I rent navigation or snow chains?
Yes. We have a wide range of accessories of your choice to equip the car: navigation, snow chains, roof box, child seats

Using the vehicle
13. What should I do when collecting the car?
Check the car! Always check the car for any damage or scratches before taking the car. If you find any damage, please immidiately inform our employee and make sure that it is included in the report of delivery and acceptance. You sholuls check the amount of fuel as well.

14. Is there a kilometer limit?
The range of kilometers is depended on the type of car from 200-400 km a day, the number of days the renter uses the car and the limit of PLN 0.20 / km

15. Is it possible to travel to another country by rented car ?

It is possible to travel by rented car to other countries of European Union, Switzerland and Norway.

16. Is there a fee for traveling to another country?

Yes. The fee for traveling abroad is 10 PLN. per day

17. Do cars have Assistance?

All vehicles from our fleet have Assistance insurance in Poland and other European Union countries.

18. What should I do if I make damage the car?

First notify Auto Tex about the incident. Our assistance works 24/7 and will help you as soon as possible.

19. What if I get a ticket?

It’s yours. You should pay! (Do not throw in the trash).

20. Should I return the car fueled?

Yes. If the car was full a the moment of the collection, the car should be refueled when you give it back. Otherwise, we will add the refill fee plus additional operating costs to the rental payment.

21. Do I have to wash the car before I return it to the Rental?

Yes. The Client always receives the car cleaned and washed and it should be returned n the same condition. If the customer does not want to or will not be able to clean the car, please inform the service, which will charge you with the cleaning fee.

22. Do cars have winter tires?

The rental equips all cars with winter tires from November 1 to March 31 with at no extra charges.

23. Can I travel one way?

No. The car should always be transferred back to the city from which it was rented, otherwise, there will be an additional charge for picking up te car outside of the Tri-City.

24. Can I smoke in the car?

No. Please do not smoke inside the car. There is a PLN 400 penalty for smoking plus any fees for repairing damage that is not covered by our insurance.

25. Can I travel with animals in the car?

Yes. As long as they are transported in appropriate closed containers destined for transporting animals. Otherwise you will be charged for cleaning the car or the upholstery inside the vehicle.
Payments

26. Can I pay with a credit card or transfer money through bank account?

Card payments are acceptable only for companies. You can pay by bank account transfer only that funds must be credited to our account before picking up the car.

27. Can I get a VAT invoice for car rental?

You can get an Invoice for every car rental.

28. What is the deposit lock on the card?

The deposit lock is called “Preauthorisation” and is carried out in the payment terminal. It is performed like any other transaction with only difference that the operation does not charge the card owner’s account. The amount of money (deposit) remains on the Client’s account but it is blocked for the time of the rental as a security and the client can not use them.

29. How long does it take to unlock the deposit on the card?

Auto Tex unlocks the card the same day the car is returned. Depending on the type of card, it may last from 48 hours to 200 hours.

30. Is it possible that Auto Tex will not release the deposit?

No. The deposit is always unlocked as soon as possible because we care about the customer’s satisfaction. We want our Clients to be content with our service and return to our company.

31. When the deposit will be returned?

The deposit in cash is returned upon the receipt of the car by our employee

32. Can I pay a deposit in another currency?

Yes. The deposit can be paid in EURO, USD GBP, NOK.
Return of the car

33. What happens if I’m late?

Do not do this. In case you are running late, please inform us as soon as possible because another Client can already wait for the car. Otherwise, Auto Tex may add a late payment fee.

34. What do I need to do when returning a car?

Please, take all your belongings from the car (we are not responsible for the left items such as sunglasses, navigation, pads, cell phones, etc.). Always check with our employee that there is no damage to the car. Please, return the keys and documents from the car to our employee.
